Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four kids born in Newark, New Jersey on August 9 1993. Their parents include gospel singers Cissy Houston - n e Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick was also a singing sensation. The mother of Whitney and Whitney began singing professionally in the church of New Hope Baptist, Newark in the year Whitney was just fifteen years old. They performed backing vocals in Chaka Kans' hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. Her mother, Jermaine and Lou Rawls were among the artists she backed up. In 1981 her cover was included within Seventeen Magazine. In 1983, Material, the New York City funk-rock band Material hired her as the band's main vocalist. Their talent was what attracted her to big record label Arista. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut album for a brand new artist in the year 1985. Several hit singles including The Greatest Love of All, Saving My Love For You How Do I know That You Love Me as well as The greatest Love of All were released on the album. They set her up for a Beatles-beating seven consecutive US numbers one. The album was sold to three million people in the first year and 25 million globally. She won her the first six Grammys. Whitney was her first album. Whitney, released in 1987 and featuring popular tracks What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. It came with The Bodyguard (1996) that established her as one of music's best sellers. Though the movie was not a huge hit and neither was her performance, but the score of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top spot on both single and album charts across the United States for a number of months. Her sales exceeded 44 million albums across the globe. It was also in 1993 when she was married to Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician who gave her sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Around this time, her well-documented substance abuse began and by 1996 she began to be a frequent addict.
Dana Bash is also known by the name of Dana Ruth Schwartz and she works as a political correspondent as well as a journalist for CNN. Her Saturday shows include Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Her work has been with other famous networks in recent times including NBC and CBS. Bash was awarded a Women in Washington Power List award from Elle magazine. She's known to possess incredible anchoring/reporting abilities and she's admired by young journalists. She is also a loving mom to her son even though she graduated of George Washington University. She was married twice and is currently married.
