Aaliyah Daniel Haughton made her way to stardom in 1994 with her album debut Age Ain't Nothing But a Numer. Her album, which was made available at just 15 years of age, went Gold. This collaboration, heavily influenced R. Kelly's music, brought her into the spotlight. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the top-selling single If Your girl only was aware. Aaliyah became a household name for her work as an R&B artist with their release of the sophomore album One In A Million. The year 2000 saw her appeared alongside the martial arts icon Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an awards ceremony. In 2002, she was part of the Anne Rice-based horror film Queen of the Damned. Then she was introduced to the Matrix in the form of Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also appeared as a character in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. Though she started her career in film and TV with a few minor performances, her acting career picked up growth in the latter half of 2000s. Other than The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). The actress has also been featured in major commercials of brands such as Volvo, an international auto producer. The actress currently resides with her family in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting profession.
