Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 into a musically inclined family in Newark New Jersey is the daughter of Gospel star Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. They are also cousins of singer Dionne Warwick. Her mother and she started singing professionally at New Hope Baptist Church of Newark at the age of fifteen years old. The two sang backing vocals in Chaka Khan's track in 1978 Im Every Woman. In 1981, she briefly was a model and also appeared on the Seventeen album cover. She also performed the backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist for the The New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal performance attracted the attention of major record label Arista where she signed up in 1983. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It would become one of the most successful album by a musician. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one single. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies before it went to 25,000,000 globally. It gave her the first of the six Grammy Awards she has won. The follow-up album released in 1987 Whitney which included the hits What Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built the foundation of her popularity, however it was her 1992 movie The Bodyguard (1992) that sealed her place as one of the most successful artists in history. The Bodyguard's performance as a film and its soundtrack were not appreciated however, her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as the album accompanying it were top of the charts around the globe for several months. That same year she got married to Bobby Brown who was a previous New Edition singer. She was the sole daughter of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina Brown on March 23, 1993. At this point that her widely documented usage of drugs began. By 1996 she was a daily user.
Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman and political correspondent for CNN. Her previous work included NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. Her productions include certain shows on CNN's weekends like Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Bash's awards and recognitions include being named to the Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. Her incredible anchoring and reporting capabilities are well-respected by numerous journalists. The only child she has is her greatest joy in life. The couple has had two marriages and is currently single. Bash, a woman who is self-sufficient and confident she is extremely devoted to her fans.
